After almost sixteen years at IBM I've made the most difficult decision since leaving Vancouver to work for IBM in Toronto: I've resigned from IBM. Where will I be going? I'm not sure yet, but don't expect to see any less of me!
Being independent, like Jeff and Chris, certainly has a great deal of appeal. I'm also very excited by the things I see Itemis, Obeo, TOPCASED, and the rest of the diverse community doing in the modeling space. Of course to say I'm excited by what's happening is an understatement since that's the primary motivation for my decision: to focus on exciting and innovative new things of my own choosing. The Eclipse community is both inspiring and empowering. I'm grateful to be part of it. Expect that to continue and then some as I immerse myself fully.
So long IBM, and thanks for all the open source!

Ed I'm stunned...but very happy for you as I sense this is a good thing for you.
Best of luck in your new endeavors. I hope we get a chance to work together...more than we have to this point. Please keep in touch...I do hope that this works in favor of even more of your attention on EMF.
Good luck and welcome to the other side ;)
Ed. I can't believe you fell for that "grass is greener (or is it less blue) on the other side" stuff that people talk about ;-) Seriously, have fun and keep on smiling. Let me know if I can help in some way...
Best of luck Ed! Thanks for all the help you gave me, especially during my time at IBM.
You will do great things!!!
Goodbye Ed! Thanks for your support and energy over the years.
Steve
Good luck Ed. I am sure you will be very successful as an independent. Everyone uses EMF and you are the EMF guy!
Good luck Ed, you'll be missed at IBM I'm sure, but we'll be happy you're still a part of the booming EC. :)
Ed, good luck with your new opportunities! You will be missed. Did the committer reps drink an IBM antidote? :-)
Good luck Ed! We at IBM will miss you terribly. It was a great pleasure to work with an engineer of your outstanding caliber. I learned so much from working with you over the years and I'm especially grateful to you for mentoring me in my early days at IBM and imparting your wisdom. I only wish my brain was large enough to absorb more :-P
Congratulations, Ed and best wishes. There, I didn't mention the book at all.
Good luck, Ed. I hope you will stay with the Eclipse Community. Thanks for all work so far.
I'm shocked. I should check in more often.
Best wishes for the future. Eclipse will miss you.
Good luck Ed, I appreciate your contributions to eclipse.
Ed, thanks for all your effort, help, and quick replies. I wish you all the best.

Well done. EMF is in good shape.
Welcome to the wider modeling world. There's lots to do.
sometimes you can go to earn the mabinogi gold for your own life and you can also get a lot of happiness in the game if you play the game well. you can brush the cheap mabinogi to upgrade and then you are very strong. You think that you want to play the game well and then you can get the mabinogi money for your own. you can go to buy mabinogi gold alone and you can give some for your friends; it can make you very happy I think. As long as you play the game you can get the mabinogi online gold as the rewards in this game.
I knew the Metin2 gold so I always try my best to earn them more and more to make myself strong. I have never played the game before, at the beginning I did not know what is so I went to kill the monsters with the Metin2 yang that I earned with myself in the game. I will duty bound to a friend to help brush the Cheap metin2 yang together with my friends. I spend a good relationship is then fly to tears. If my levels are very high, I can go to Buy metin2 gold more and more and I will not depend on my friends to help me to earn them. I get some Cheap metin2 gold as the gifts to encourage me.
